Verizon and District 1 have agreed to extend LOA's entered into regarding the Covid-19 crisis.

Verizon has entered into an agreement with District 1 to provide members who are unable to work from home with a bonus. The details are spelled out in the attached letter of agreement.  If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to the local.  Be safe during these trying times

We've just been informed by Verizon that the process for reporting a leave has been changed.  The forms provided last week, which included the fax and number and email for HR,  are no longer being accepted.  The new process now includes submitting your forms via a link on VZWEB.  If you have an issue accessing your VZWEB because you are now home and can't use your SSO, you should be contacting your manager so they can submit them for you.  We are in communications with the company in regards to streamlining this process to make it easier for members to comply.

CWA and Verizon are in constant discussions at the Local, District, and National level to help all our members deal with this unprecedented Coronavirus crisis.

Verizon has implemented a set of protocols for employees who may have been placed in quarantine for Covid-19. Among them will be the requirement to submit a Work Arrangement Request to the Workplace Accomodations Team which is specific to the Covid-19 outbreak.

In light of recent events, the Retirement Seminar which NettWorth had scheduled for March 26th has now been changed to a Webinar. All login information is on the attached flyer. 

Since the beginning of this crisis, CWA has been working tirelessly in addressing the concerns and needs of our members.  The results of which have landed the membership with unprecedented leave , and work from home options with Verizon. The following agreements list what members are entitled to and how to implement those benefits.

District 1 and Verizon has issued a letter which provides the framework for how cost sharing in testing the of COVID-19  will be handled.

Effective February 1st 2020, Sedgwick will be the adminstrator of FMLA and leaves of absences for Verizon.  Claims issued prior to this date will automatically be transferred to Sedgwick.  Sedgwick will send you a letter outlining any actions you might need to take.  Beginning February 1st the requirements for issuing a claim will remain the same, such as calling out via the absence administrator or your supervisor.
